Forza Horizon VIP Membership DLC Review

This review is credited to our resident Forza addict Wizzyfox. Here is what he had to say on the recent Forza Horizon VIP Membership DLC.

Now you can obtain the VIP Membership pack for 800ms points...is it worth your hard earned cash?

What exactly do you get?....

A five car VIP car pack, VIP Rivals Events, an Expanded Storefront, Expanded 'My Forza' Gallery space, and a VIP icon affixed to your Gamertag in “Forza Horizon” and Exclusive gifts from the Forza Horizon Community team.

The Car Pack features...

2012 Audi R8 GT Spyder – This beauty has power to burn under her bonnet, excellent top speed and high end traction, and blessed with good launch speed, the R8 GT has all the ingredients to win you the most competitive races. Best on Asphalt surfaces, but also a hoot to drive on the Dirt.
AG RATING: 8/10

2011 Koenigsegg Agera – Excellent addition to Horizon. Very quick, excellent launch, and superb acceleration. Brilliant in all types of races and surfaces. Traction not the best, but the car's other attributes more than make up for this.
AG RATING: 8/10

2011 Lamborghini Sesto Elemento – Without doubt the best looking car in the pack, it's sleek design makes her a must for the Showroom. On the track a slightly different story! The top speed is not up to where you would expect it to be given the stylish design. Launch and Acceleration are average at best, Traction though is acceptable and this alone gives you a chance on the tighter circuit tracks. You can also put in a good show on Street circuits, but overall I was a little disappointed with the Sesto Elemento.

AG RATING: 6/10

2012 Pagani Huayra – Another top offering...good all round performance, launch and acceleration a little sluggish but top speed is decent and superb traction, which can be improved with an auto upgrade. Best results on Street Circuits and Point to Point.
AG RATING: 7/10

2011 RUF Rt 12 R – A good all round car which excels on Point to Point and Street Circuits. Very good traction, and Launch, but it's the top speed where the RT 12 R comes into it's own. Just when you think you are struggling to keep up with the race pace the car seems to find another gear and hunts down the enemy with ease!
AG RATING 9/10

Overall the VIP pack is a little pricey considering you still have to buy the Cars from the in game Auto Show, given the class of the cars these are expensive so you will need plenty of in game credit, or you will need to purchase Car tokens using more precious MS points.
If the purchasing of the cars is not a problem then they are well worth adding to your Horizon Garage. The VIP Rivals Event option is a good addition, and gives the game longevity. The VIP pack also gives you an Expanded Storefront where you can add extra custom designs etc.
Also you get two extra slots in My Forza Gallery where you can add extra videos or images. And not forgetting a VIP icon attached to your Horizon Gamertag! And keep a watch on your inbox, where exclusive in game gifts will appear from the Forza Community Team.

VIP Pack Overall Value for Money Rating: 7/10

Note: Do not purchase the VIP pack if you own the Limited Collectors Edition of the game as you are already a VIP member.
