You know I love a game that feels a bit different. I love a game that gives us something else and breaks away from other ID games that are out there. There are loads of ID games on the market that are similar to each other in a way or form. However, this past week, I`ve had the chance to experience a new ID game that is set to hit the Xbox Store this week. And that is a game that goes by the name of Cluster trucks.
Cluster Trucks is a ID platformer game developed by Landfall games, and published by tinyBuild games. The game was released to PC, Linux and PS4 Users last month, and this week, sees the release on Xbox One. Cluster trucks is a game where you are going to need to strategize aswell as jump from truck to truck to get to the end goal. Now not everything is going to be easy, and there are several obstacles that are going to be in the way. You`re going to have to use the environment to your advantage, and not to do your disadvantage as you think of a way to get you to the end goal.
Now I must say, this game is very fun, and very addictive and that`s something that`s apparent from the first level. You`re going to work out a way of how to get to the end goal without falling off, and it can be a real challenge. Also, as no level is ever the same, meaning that it`s not always going to work out the same route that you were so close to completing on. It`s a game that offers an easiness in the start of the levels, and the further throughout you go, the difficult they become. You`ll start off nice and easy to entice you into the game, until you progress into another world, which then the fun begins.
I think of a mobile game when I`ve played this. Simply because you see so often that games fall into the same characteristics of each other, of playing a game that you must avoid the obstacles to get to the final goal. Cluster truck follows the same route and is a game that you`d see on a tablet or a mobile phone, but they`ve made the transition to PC and gaming consoles very well, and it`s a game that truly is something a little bit different on the ID market.
It`s a game that`s going to entice you into it, and makes it very addictive once you`ve gotten into it. It doesn’t offer loads in terms of game modes, and the sole focus of the game is very much to make it to the end goal, but the fun occurs in a range of ways, as you work out how you`re going to make it to the end. It`s a game that offers a real challenge as the game progresses further on. But, it`s a game that`s a great little ID one, and a game that Landfall games can be very proud of, as they have an addictive one on their hands.
